JOHN DAY - Every year a random Grant County school is chosen by Forest Service employees on Patterson Bridge Road to decorate their Christmas tree.

This year's chosen school was Long Creek. The students were bused over on Dec. 7 with their homemade decorations in hand to beautify the tree.
