April 14, 1909 - May 22, 2004

George Glen Nichols, 95, of Council, Idaho, and formerly of Spray, passed away Saturday, May 22, at a Payette care center.

Graveside services were held Thursday, May 27, at the Hornet Creek Cemetery in Council.

Mr. Nichols was born April 14, 1909, in Merriman, Neb., to Charles and Mamie Conors Nichols.

He married Amine L. Frerichs in 1934 at Martin, S.D., and in 1943 the couple moved to Spray where he logged and ranched. Once he retired they moved to Council. Amine proceeded him in death July 15, 1998.

Mr. Nichols liked to hunt, fish and work with horses, especially young horses. He was fond of children and loved being with his grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Stout and Mary Ennis; two sons, Paul and Carl; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
