The Grant Union High School Mock Trial team will compete Saturday at the Deschutes County Courthouse in Bend.

The students and their instructor, Carol Kilkpatrick, have been preparing for the competition for the past six months.

The team will compete against six other high schools from Eastern Oregon.

The two top teams will be awarded a trip to the state competition in Portland. The winning team in Portland will advance to nationals.

The team will do a dress rehearsal from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at either the Grant County Courthouse, if there is no real trial that day, or at the school library.
