April 20, was, as usual all month, cold and cloudy. Preparing six tables were Marvin Casebeer, Ottis Garrett and Buzz Harris. Eula Thompson greeted 53 who attended so later another table had to be set up. Buzz delivered five take-outs, one went another way.
The first-timers today were Greg Flynn, Adrienne Nichols and her baby, Katlynn Nichols. These are Louise LaBaugh's family, her son-in-law, her granddaughter and her great-granddaughter. Adrienne's husband is in Iraq for a year.
Gift certificate winners were, Sharon Kimberling receiving one from the Little Diner; Marge Reddikopp winning from Prairie Drug and Hardware; and Del Lake , won from Mort's Barber Shop.
The flag salute may have been led by Marvin C. Ruth Johns gave the blessing. I hear the yak-yak in the kitchen drowned her out for some in the dining area.
Servers from the Grace Chapel were Beverly Curtis, Sharon Kimberling, Barbara Bass and Luella Simrell.
Our meal consisted of rolls, meatloaf, green beans, coleslaw, mashed potatoes and gravy, plus bread pudding with a sauce.
The clean-up gang was the usual, seven or eight pitching in.
