JOHN DAY – The Grant County office of Oregon State University Extension has several items of interest to 4-H members and leaders.

Here’s the schedule:

• Monday, Oct. 1 – Completed 4-H record books are due.

• Monday, Oct. 1 – Enrollment for 4-H for the 2012-2013 year starts. Leaders and members must re-enroll each year.

• Monday, Oct. 8 – Grant County 4-H leaders meeting, 6 p.m., in Keerins Hall.

• Monday, Oct. 15 – 4-H Achievement Night, 6 p.m. in the Mt. Vernon Grange Hall. All 4-H members, leaders and families are encouraged to attend. Year-end pins, medals, special county awards and the Distinguished Service Award will be presented.

Those interested in receiving the Grant County Extension Agriculture, Forestry or 4-H newsletters by mail or email, can call the Extension office at 541-575-1911.

The office is open from 7 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday, and is at 530 E. Main St., Suite 10, in John Day.
