You may be a democrat; you may be a republican, or you may be of some other political belief but it matters not now. Franklin Roosevelt is our president. He will rule over the best country in the world ... Some of our politicians, representatives, senators may be poor at times, but our government is forever good. In these great hours of depression we need encouragement. We need the faith of Abraham Lincoln. Let us recall some of the things he said during the trying days of the Civil War. He said, "With malice toward none; with charity for all; with firmness in the right, as God gives us to see the right, let us strive to finish the work we are in - to do all which may achieve and cherish a just and lasting peace among ourselves and with all nations."

Let us remember that we have many people in our country who do not know American history, American principles and last but not least, real American government. These people come from other lands, whose lives have been embittered by injustice or oppression, who are quick to listen to un-American utterances by us. Let us remember that America yet is the best place in the world to live and raise a family. A few storms may pass ... yet you are still in the land of the brave and the free. Have faith in your president. Have faith in your country and someday the storm will break and the sun will shine again upon this grand and free America.
