Homer Schell, 93, of died Nov. 25 at Mt. View Living Center in Madras.

Mr. Schell was born Dec. 29, 1908, at Ketchin Creek, Ky., to Nicholas and Betty (Adams) Schell.

When he was 29, he moved to Wheeler County, where he spent most of his life. He worked on ranches and sawmills and raised game birds at Twickenham. He was referred as "The Birdman of Twickenham."

He enjoyed taking care of his cows, chickens and pigs and hunting, fishing and gardening. He was known for playing practical jokes on his friends.

A graveside service was held Nov. 30 at the Fossil Masonic Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of one's choice. Driskill Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
