PRAIRIE CITY - The Grant County Hospice team of Hospice of Redmond, Sisters & Grant County has been nominated for the Excellence in Teamwork Award by the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization.

The local hospice team will receive the award in the following categories of contributions to the community:

• Significant - a major contribution to the community, patients and families

• Innovative - a unique, creative, and inspired effort that could serve as a model and resource for other hospices/palliative care programs

• Extraordinary - far beyond the ordinary standards of excellence for hospice/palliative care programs

Muffet Ricco, a registered nurse from Prairie City, will accept the nomination award during the April 15 NPOCO Symposium in Denver, Colo.
