Inez Velma Woodley, 81, of John Day died Oct. 20 at Canyon Creek Guest Home.

Funeral services officiated by Pastor Denny Diezel will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at Driskill Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Prairie City Cemetery.

She was born May 24, 1921, at Bayard, Neb., to Frank and Mabel (McFarland) Case.

For 25 years she resided in Grant County and worked as a cook and waitress, homemaker and care giver to seniors.

She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge No. 29, American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed fishing, crafts, singing and playing the accordion and guitar.

Mrs. Woodley is survived by two sisters, Ila McIntosh of Prairie City and Elsie McHenry of Gridley, Calif.; brother Floyd Case of Prineville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Driskill Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
