Pioneer Bank furnished the entree of turkey and trimmings on May 29. First Christian Church members served, with help from Ivan Porfily.

Harvey Sweek led the flag salute, and Pastor Duane Cheadle asked the blessing.

Clear Choice Insurance made a presentation for the crowd and amid several visitors from Baker City.

Bingo winners on May 29 included Clavdell Whatley and Marge Reddekopp, who shared the consolation from the $300 blackout. Vicki Larkin won $30 consolation from the $500 blackout.

Cooks Toni Wynne and Cindy Hyder surprised us on June 2 with hamburger gravy over biscuits. Blue Mt. Hospital Auxiliary members served, Glenda Simonsen led the flag salute, and Ivan Porfily asked the blessing.

Deda Porter received the certificate from Len's Drug and Pearl Coombs, John Day Pharmacy.

Carol Staats joined her mother, Virginia Hymer, who came with others from Blue Mountain Nursing Home. Darlene Nodine Gibson's brother, Duane Flowers, and sister-in-law, came from Boise, Idaho. On Thursday, June 5, sweet and sour meatballs will be served; Monday, June 9, barbecue pork sandwiches.
