Len's Drug furnished the entree of baked chicken for the June 19 meal. Mindy Waterson and Tandie Warren were guests representing the local contributor to the John Day Senior Center, Len's Drug.

United Methodist Church members served, Pete Baucum led the flag salute and Bob Willey asked the blessing.

Drawing winners included Pete Ryder, certificate from Chester's Thriftway and Dalton Stewart, free meal.

Our thoughts go out to those who have been ill, including Long Creek rancher Bud Walton who was injured by a bull and remains in a Portland hospital.

Rumor has it that Helen Mosier is celebrating a milestone birthday. Happy Birthday, Helen.

Callers during June 18 bingo were Toni Drain and Carolyn Caldwell. Edna Howard and Debbie Robins split $30 consolation for the $250 blackout; then Debbie won the $30 consolation for the $510 jackpot.

On June 23, the entree of taco salad was provided by Oster Professional Group. Florence Silver led the flag salute and later served the milk and buttermilk. Pastor Duane Cheadle asked the blessing.

Congratulations are sent to Max and Irene Ferguson, who celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary.

Sylvia Warrick and Deda Porter have been elected to the John Day Senior Center Site Council, replacing Thelma Temple and Walt Hall, whose terms had expired.
