Salisbury steak, furnished by Valley View Assisted Living Residence, was served by the Blue Mountain Hospital Auxiliary on Jan. 9.

Wilma Bauer led the flag salute, and Pastor Duane Cheadle asked the blessing.

Guests arrived from Valley View and Golden Heritage.

Elda Adams was wished a happy birthday. Ivan Porfily was awarded the certificate from Chester's Thriftway, and Lyle Baldwin won the free meal.

Helen Bogart announced a bus trip to Baker City's senior center on Jan. 17. Call Helen at 575-1636 by Jan. 16 for a reservation.

Bingo callers on Jan. 8 included Don and Carolyn Caldwell. Vicki Hanson won $30 consolation for the $500 blackout.

On Jan. 13, salmon casserole was served by Valley View with Chester's Thriftway furnishing the entree. Colleen Relling led the flag salute and the Rev. Andy Anderson asked the blessing.

Chicken will be served Thursday, Jan. 16; pizza on Monday, Jan. 20.

Evalyn Boyd won the certificate from John Day Pharmacy; Irene Ferguson, Len's Drug.

The Mt. Vernon Grange will hold a pancake feed Friday, Jan. 24. Someone said the sour dough is bubbling!
