The Monument folks arrived for the July 10 meal and reported that Kimberly cherries are ripe along with early peaches!

Mt. Vernon Grange members served Salisbury steak; the entree was furnished by Pioneer Bank.

Guests arrived from Valley View and Del and Bonnie Lake brought their grandson, Sterling from Montana.

Gene Brady led the flag salute and Ivan Porfily asked the blessing.

Marge Porfily recently celebrated her birthday.

During July 9 bingo, Judy Nelson won $30 consolation for the $250 blackout and the other blackout consolation was split four ways. Cindy Conner and Don Caldwell were callers.

The John Day Senior Center Site Council served seafood linguini on July 14. Bert Miller won the certificate from Len's Drug. Karen Conlee led the flag salute and Lucille Thissell asked the blessing.

On Thursday, July 17, barbecue chicken will be served; Monday, July 21, hamburgers.
