Juanita (Burril) Butcher, 57, died Feb. 26 in Canby.

Funeral and graveside services were held March 5.

Mrs. Butcher was born July 7, 1946 to Charles Alexander "Lex" and Vivian Opal (Cline) Burril in Prairie City.

She graduated from Grant Union High School in 1964 and attended Blue Mountain Community College in Pendleton for 2 years.

Mrs. Butcher began her career with the federal government in 1968, starting at the Army base in Hermiston and then on to the forestry service. From there she worked for the social security administration and then back to the forestry service where she concluded.

She married Jeffery Scott Butcher Dec. 7, 1983 in Portland.

Mrs. Butcher enjoyed her family, cards, garage sales and her family's music.

Survivors include brother, Delbert Burril; son, Lynn Tussing; daughter, Tami Bergeson and 4 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother.
