Klamath Falls man arrested on forgery, drug charges

Klamath Falls, Ore. -- Police in Klamath Falls say they caught a man in the process of printing fake currency Friday morning.

36 year-old Vernon Schaeffer is charged with multiple counts of forgery, and possession of meth.

Oregon State Police arrested him at a Klamath Falls motel and say they seized about 20 fake bills of different denominations, a color copier, and "other evidence".

Police say a 30 year-old woman was arrested earlier in March with counterfeit currency, starting the investigation that led to Schaeffer's arrest.
