JOHN DAY - Trust Management Services, LLC recently awarded the Friends of the Kam Wah Chung & Co. Museum an $8,000 grant to be used for a portion of the Phase I project to preserve and protect the museum contents and building.

Grant applications are awarded with emphasis on education, community service, cultural, youth activities and historical preservation. Three of six regions in Oregon are funded annually by TMS, and each county is funded bi-annually.

Application for this particular funding was submitted in May 2003, Mary and Dick Lanthrum of TMS visited the site in mid-June, and the award was recently announced.
