MT. VERNON - The American Legion Ellis Tracy Post 77 will hold a ceremony to properly dispose of tattered and old American flags Dec. 5 in Mt. Vernon.

Members of Boy Scout Tropp 898 will assist in the ceremony, which will start at 2 p.m. at the home of American Legion Commander Richard Patt, 506 Rimrock Lane.

Flags may be brought to the ceremony or dropped off at the Blue Mountain Eagle office by 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3.
