To the Editor:

We have the opportunity to get someone with heavy-duty experience in budgeting when we elect Will Boettner to represent the 59th District at the Oregon Legislature. The most important job of the Legislature is to decide how to spend our money or create the balanced budget for Oregon.

Electing Will Boettner means many years of experience and a willingness to find new ways for managing our financial resources. When he talks about his years of budgeting experience with "zero-based budgeting" he makes clear points that need to be implemented for the departments and systems of the state of Oregon. This will not be an easy task but one that needs to be done.

Over the past 33 years, Mr. Boettner built an extensive business background and experience ranging from large, multinational companies, a nonprofit institute, and owning his own businesses. As a project manager and program manager, he successfully managed large project teams, business development, contract management and client relations for large and small businesses. He taught project management for professional staff and managers, conducted construction and restoration field programs throughout North America and wrote many technical reports on water resources and natural resources. His client list includes Fortune 100 and 500 companies in the industrial, energy, transportation, manufacturing sectors, as ranching and government.

Let's elect Mr. Boettner to have the benefit of his knowledge and experience at the Legislature.
