JOHN DAY – Dennis Linthicum, Klamath County Commissioner and Republican candidate for Congress, will speak in John Day at noon Friday, Jan. 24.

The Grant County Republican Central Committee is holding the meet-and-greet session at the Outpost Restaurant. The public is invited.

Linthicum is running for the 2nd Congressional District seat held by Rep. Greg Walden, also a Republican.

Linthicum and his wife Diane own and operate a ranch in Klamath County. As a county commissioner there, he has dealt with forest policies, land use, federal regulatory agencies, the Endangered Species Act and budget deficits.

His topic will be “Liberty Lost and the Mismanagement of Public Lands.” There will be time for questions.
