JOHN DAY- The Grant and Monument Water Conservation districts will hold a Grant County Local Work Group meeting 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, at the USDA Service Center, 721 S. Canyon Blvd. A public comment period will be provided.

The local work group is composed of members from federal, state, tribal, county and local government agencies who provide information regarding natural resource issues to the Natural Resources Conservation Service in administering the Environmental Quality Incentives Program. EQIP is a federal conservation cost-share program available to agricultural producers. The program can provide financial assistance to producers who implement natural resource conservation practices on private property within Grant County.
