BURNS - Erin Gerhardt from Prairie City finished in first place in the women's 20-29-year-old division at the Chris Miller Memorial Steens Mountain Rim Run and Walk on Saturday, Aug. 7.

Competing in the running section of the race, Gerhardt completed the course in a time of 59:59.

In the walking division of the event, the Livran family from Prairie City had four first-place finishes.

In the women's 40-49-year-old division, Elaine Livran was the winner at 1:23.03, and Chad Livran was first in the men's 16-19-year-old division in a time of 1:27.39.

Not to be outdone, Kelsi Livran captured the women's 13-15-year-old title with a time of 1:30.06, and Cody Livran was the champion of the 12-and-under division with a clocking of 2:25.55.

John Livran continued the family tradition with a second place in the 40-49-year-old men's walk in 1:31.58.

Also earning second-place finishes in the event were Richard Thompson from Mt. Vernon in the men's 40-49-year-old run with a time of 1:00.48, and Skyler Rickabaugh, also from Mt. Vernon, in the women's 50-59-year-old run at 1:18.10.

Mt. Vernon's Tammy Joslin also had a second-place finish in the women's 40-49-year-old walk with a time of 1:31.40, Eva Harris from Canyon City placed third in the walk for 60-69-year-old women at 1:53.44.
