Grant County def. Milton-Freewater 12-11

NYSSA - A dramatic seven-run uprising in the bottom of the sixth inning carried the Grant County 11-12-year-old Little League All-stars to a come-from-behind 12-11 victory over Milton-Freewater in the opening round of the district tournament on Sunday, July 4.

Kyle Weymouth drove in the winning run when he was hit with a pitch with the bases loaded and two out in the bottom of the sixth to give Grant County the victory.

Blake Purnell got things going in the sixth drawing a leadoff walk, and later collected a two-out infield single to keep the rally alive.

Dalton Moore had a bases-clearing three-run double in the inning and Gage Immoos followed by stroking a two-run home run to bring Grant County within one run, 11-10.
