JOHN DAY - Applications are available now for "mini-grants" aimed at helping non-profit programs and projects in Grant County.

Grant Action Partners has received funding from the Shelk Fund of The Oregon Community Foundation and the John and Linda Shelk Foundation. The money enables GAP to continue offering grants of up to $1,000 for a limited number Grant County non-profit projects/programs in 2008.

Applications may be made by completing a form and returning it to GAP with a postmark not later than March 12, 2008. Funding decisions will be made in April 2008.

GAP is a non-profit organization whose mission is to facilitate the establishment and maintenance of small and new non-profit organizations, programs and projects in Grant County. GAP's goal is to increase opportunities for families and youth to become healthy and responsible citizens in a caring community.
