The center had 27 in attendance on Feb. 18 for delicious cheese soup, tuna fish sandwiches with all the trimmings, peaches and brownies. Guests were Alfred Patzer, a former resident, Erval and Marion Sexton from Spray and Georgeann Williams. But we consider her a regular, not a guest.

The Bookmobile will arrive on Wednesday, March 5. The trip to Fossil was postponed until March 5.

Certificate winners were Thelma Williams, Touch of Country; Van Richards, Radio Shack; Cora Stubblefield, Chester's Thriftway; Jack Sweek, Len's Drug; Charlotte Howell, free meal. After dinner, a food handlers class was held. They had a study session, took tests and were awarded certificates accordingly. Our cooks were involved in this, so there were volunters to take care of the dishwashing and cleanup work.

The volunteers were Mardy Jensen, Van Richards and Jack Sweek. Dotty and Betty kept an eye on them and said they did a fine job.

We will have to think up an appropriate award for them!
