Pork stir-fry, fried rice, dry noodles and birthday cake was enjoyed by 32 people on Feb. 24. We didn't have anyone with a birthday, so we didn't sing. We did have guests from out of town though. Earl and Norma Richards from Fossil, Aliene Adams and Selma and J.R. Adams from Spray and Nadine Bradley and Janice Hunt from Long Creek. We were very glad to have all of them and want to remind everyone that our Senior meals are on Tuesdays each week.

Jack Sweek did the announcing this week and reminded us that the 55 Alive program was scheduled for March 1-2.

Bingo was Saturday, Feb. 28.

This week we had Chelzy Cox and Kayla Lee from school to help with the cleanup after dinner. Thank you girls, you are appreciated.

Certificate winners were Cora Stubblefield, free meal and Van Richards, Chester's Thriftway.

The Senior Citizens of Monument would like to say thank you to the Blue Mountain Eagle for the history section in this week's paper. It was wonderful. I think it would be neat if they made it a regular part of the paper, even every couple of months or so. I know it takes a lot of work, but we'll assure you it was enjoyed tremendously.
