Thirty-one friends and neighbors came out to enjoy lasagne, green salad, hot garlic bread and a pretty birthday cake on Feb. 25. Mike Trujillo was the only one who admitted to being another year older, so we sang to him.

On Feb. 26, the bus transported seniors to Fossil for dinner. While there, some visited with old friends, took pictures of the Kinzua mural, and did a little shopping at the old mercantile. Now that spring is nearly here, we will be going on more trips, so start thinking of places to go.

Drawing winners receiving certificates were Betty Richards, Chester's Thriftway; Chet Mael, Len's Drugs; Mike Trujillo, Touch of Country; Betty Maynard, Radio Shack; and Dottie Hawthorne, the free meal.

Mardy Jensen also announced an idea that will help raise money for our school. It is sponsored by General Mills, who will pay the school 10 cents for every box top coupon that is turned in. The school will provide a list of hundreds of products. Collection containers are set up at the elementary and high schools, Boyer's Market, Kimberly Store, the senior center and at the post office. So everyone, watch your box tops and clip the coupons.
