Jim is a United Methodist Minister graduating from the University of Puget Sound in 1963 and Wesley Theological Seminary, Washington D.C. in 1968. While serving on the United Methodist Board of Evangelism, he traveled two years with the singing group "Dust and Ashes." His original compositions are on three CD's: "The Lord's Song," "No Greater Love" and "Jim Moore - For Kids." A new C.D., "Colors of Your Grace," is scheduled to be released this fall.
The Moores have two grown sons, Jonathan and Joshua. Their home is on Blue Lake in central Washington state near Coulee City in an area homesteaded by Jim's grandfather who was a Methodist circuit rider and school teacher. This central location has worked well for 30 years in his traveling music ministry.
