Moores lead worship services at local churches this Sunday

Jim Moore leads Creative Ministries of Washington state.

JOHN DAY - Jim and Vivian Moore, Creative Ministries, will lead the 9 a.m. worship service, Sunday, Sept. 22 at the John Day United Methodist Church and the 11 a.m. service at Prairie City United Methodist Church. A potluck will follow at Depot Park in Prairie City at 12:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

Jim is a United Methodist Minister graduating from the University of Puget Sound in 1963 and Wesley Theological Seminary, Washington D.C. in 1968. While serving on the United Methodist Board of Evangelism, he traveled two years with the singing group "Dust and Ashes." His original compositions are on three CD's: "The Lord's Song," "No Greater Love" and "Jim Moore - For Kids." A new C.D., "Colors of Your Grace," is scheduled to be released this fall.

The Moores have two grown sons, Jonathan and Joshua. Their home is on Blue Lake in central Washington state near Coulee City in an area homesteaded by Jim's grandfather who was a Methodist circuit rider and school teacher. This central location has worked well for 30 years in his traveling music ministry.
