Mt. Vernon to hold public hearing on authorizing loan from water fund

Eva Dougharity is scheduled to be sworn in as Mt. Vernon City Council president at the council meeting at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 14 at Mt. Vernon City Hall, 199 W. Main St.

Mt. Vernon City Council will hold a hearing on an ordinance authorizing a loan from the water fund by entering into a financing contract with the Oregon Infrastructure Finance Authority at its regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14.

Also on the agenda is a resolution to increase the solid waste rate from Clark’s Disposal.

The council will also discuss a newsletter and Facebook page, strategic planning related to City Park and the community development block grant for the wastewater treatment facility and goals to review and update city documents.

Council President Eva Dougharity is also scheduled to be sworn in.

The meeting will take place at Mt. Vernon City Hall, 199 W. Main St.
