Nadine Hope Wheeler, 86 , of Prineville died Aug. 29.

She was born July 12, 1916, at Detroit, Ore., to Willard and Anna Stewart Randall and attended schools in Powell Butte, Canada and the Dakotas. She and her family lived and worked on the King Ranch in Prineville.

She married Arliegh Fredrick Dickson in March of 1933 and lived in the Eugene/Springfield area. Arliegh passed away in 1941.

Nadine remarried in March, 1942 to Everett Wheeler. They bought and ran a cattle ranch in Kimberly until his death in 2000. Nadine then moved to Prineville to live with her daughter.

Her hobbies were crocheting, reading and gardening.

Mrs. Wheeler is survived by her daughter, Julia Ann Hall of Prineville; stepsons, Charles Dickson of Coos Bay; Fred and William Dickson of Reedsport; Arther Dickson of Hoopa, Calif.; sister, Helen Wetzell of Springfield; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great- great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, five brothers and two sisters.

Graveside services were held Sept. 6 at the Monument Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Monument Senior Center, Monument, OR 97864.

Whispering Pines Funeral Home and Driskill Memorial Chapel were in charge of arrangements.
