Comedy Central says they decided to air a gun violence sketch filmed in 2018 in the aftermath of the El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, mass shootings after deciding not to broadcast it following the earlier shooting in Gilroy, California, because the comedian who wrote it thought it was important to not remain quiet about the events.
