New barbershop opens

The Eagle/Cheryl Jessup
Katrina Page-Furnare has returned to Grant County to cut hair, this time with a barbershop for the guys, at 127 S. Canyon Blvd. in John Day.

JOHN DAY - After a brief absence, a longtime Grant County hair stylist is back, this time catering to the guys.

Katrina Page-Furnare opened Katrina's Barbershop and Salon in John Day in mid-January. Her complete barbering services include men's haircuts and hot lather shaves.

The shop is in the former location of John Day Office Supplies.

Previously the owner of Main Street Hair Company, just around the corner, Page-Furnare has worked in the hair cutting and styling business for about 13 years.

She added that she's still in the horse-selling business, as an outside broker.

"A lot of my customers just remember that about me, too ... that I sell horses."

"I've been around them (horses) my whole life," said, Page-Furnare, who has a horse herself and rides whenever she can.

Katrina's Barber Shop and Salon is open 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday, and Saturdays by appointment. The shop is located at 127 S. Canyon Blvd. Call 541-575-1358 for more information.
