Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) raised wholesale electric rates to Oregon Trail Electric Cooperative (OTEC) by 2.5 percent on April 1. OTEC will not raise retail electric rates to its consumers, OTEC instead, will absorb the rate increase.

"Our planning and budget forecasts indicate that OTEC can maintain financial stability until next October when BPA revisits its expenses," said Cliff Stewart, OTEC general manager.
