Obituaries: Darleen Sharon Johnson

BEND - Darleen Sharon Johnson, 61, of Bend, died Feb. 8, 2010. A memorial service and reception were held Feb. 13 at Eastside Church in Prineville, with Pastor Dusty Flegel officiating.

Mrs. Johnson was born Nov. 25, 1948, in Portland, to Frank and Jeanne Bell. She graduated from Scappoose High School.

On June 6, 1970, she married Clifford Johnson in Gresham.

She was a homemaker for a time before working for R.R. Donnelley Printing. She retired after working there for 18 years.

After retirement, she and her husband traveled. Her hobbies included traveling, services and activities at Eastside Church.

She adored her grandchildren and took great joy in spending time with them.

Survivors include her husband, Clifford Johnson of Bend; daughter, Deanna (Paul) Czmowski of Bend; son, Marc Johnson of Sandy; sisters, Sandy (Jason) Skinner of Prineville, Cheryl Nelson of Colorado Springs, Colo., Gloria Bell of California, Theresa (Darrell) Wood of Prineville and LaVonne (Mark) Burrows of Chewela, Wash.; brothers, John Bell, Pierre (SueEllen) Jones and Mike (Wendy) Jones, all of Portland, Matt (Korina) Jones of Mt. Vernon, and Joseph (Amy) Jones of Bend; her parents, Pierre and Betty Jones of Mt. Vernon; and two grandchildren, Jessica and Hayden.
