JOHN DAY - The Prairie City High School boys basketball team cinched a fifth-place spot in the District 8-1A Basketball Tournament.

They pulled a 77-54 win over the Huntington Locomotives in morning consolation game action Saturday, Feb. 18.

Keeping up with other recent scores in the tournament:

• The Crane Mustangs dealt a 66-27 blow to the Adrian Antelopes late Friday night to move into the championship.

They'll face the Dayville/Monument High School boys in finals action at 7:45 p.m. Saturday.

• The Adrian Lady Antelopes beat the Jordan Valley Lady Mustangs 49-33 in morning consolation game action Saturday, Feb. 18. The Lady ‘Lopes are the fifth-place winners in the tournament.

Check back here for results of the girls 3rd-4th place game game between the Dayville/Monument Lady Tigers and the Crane Lady Mustangs, set for 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, and the finals games Saturday night.
