JOHN DAY – All ages turned out Friday to color eggs for the John Day Fire Department’s annual Easter Egg Hunt.

Working at several tables in the fire station, the participants kept the eggs moving in a colorful assembly line. In all, the crew had eight cases of eggs – 15 dozen to a case – to prepare for the Easter weekend event.

The fire department’s hunt, one of several in Grant County, will be at noon Saturday at the field at Grant Union High School.

Other hunts scheduled Saturday will be at 10 a.m. in Mt. Vernon, 10:30 a.m. in Dayville, and 11 a.m. at Seventh Street Complex.
