Working alongside planners, public officials, private firms, developers, and members of the general public, the Oregon Population Forecast Program is charged with providing coordinated population forecasts with a 50-year forecast horizon for Oregon cities and counties. In September and October 2015, the program will be holding public meetings in Eastern Oregon, affecting Baker, Gilliam, Grant, Harney, Hood River, Lake, Malheur, Morrow, Sherman, Umatilla, Union, Wallowa, Wasco, and Wheeler Counties. The success of the forecast program depends on active participation from local governments and members of the community.

Three meetings are scheduled:

Harney, Malheur, and Grant counties

• September 30, 2015 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

City Hall Council Chamber, 242 S. Broadway, Burns.

Umatilla, Morrow, and Wheeler counties

• October 1, 2015 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

Eastern Oregon Higher Education Center, 975 SE Columbia Drive, Hermiston.

Wasco, Hood River, and Sherman counties

• October 2, 2015 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

Fort Dalles Readiness Center, 402 E Scenic Drive, The Dalles.
