Prairie City Seniors, April 14, had the usual three doing the setting up. There were seven take-outs delivered and one delivered later. Flag salute was led by Buzz Harris and blessing was given by Denny Diezel. Marvin Casebeer announced HELP - to help set up on Wednesday morning. Sarolta Sperry announced the International Costume and Food Festival May 1 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Strawberry Grange Hall.

Gift certificates were won by Eula Thompson, Lunch Box Deli; Barbara Reynolds, Prairie Drug and Hardware; and Marvin Casebeer, Mort's Barber Shop.

One guest who was a long way from home was Rob Viggers, son of Jack and Nancy Viggers.

Barbara Raines, Eula Thompson, Helen Cardwell and Marjorie Harris served the six tables with salmon loaf, green beans, rolls, spiced upside-down spice cake, mashed potatoes and gravy prepared by Gene and Edna Jennings.

Mildred Benson, Slim Hendrix, Pam Emery and Ethel Patterson from the Blue Mountain Nursing Home were escorted by Lorna Askew and Jonie Jones.

I understand Mel R. is a little better, maybe he will be able to come home soon.

Del and Bonnie Lake, thanks for the grapefruit from down south that you shared with us last week.

Thanks to all the helpers cleaning up the hall and working in the kitchen.
