JOHN DAY - Grant Union High School head football coach Monty Nash and his staff will be holding a youth football camp for all school-age players through grade eight from 9-11:30 a.m. Monday-Friday, Aug. 16-19 at Three Flags Field.

The cost is $20 per player, which includes a T-shirt and refreshments.

Any high school player who would like to assist at this camp would be greatly appreciated, Nash said.

The conditioning camp for high school players is scheduled for 6:30-8 p.m. Aug. 16-19, and two-a-day practices are scheduled to begin at 6:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 23.

Equipment will be given to high school players at 5:30 p.m. the following days:

Seniors, Aug. 16; juniors, Aug. 17; sophomores, Aug. 18; and freshmen, Aug. 19.

A meeting for parents is scheduled for 7 p.m. Aug. 23 in the Grant Union High School library.

The Prospectors open the season Sept. 3, hosting La Grande. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
