Community Connection of Northeast Oregon will host a public hearing to discuss needs for low-income people and the community at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, in the Oregon Department of Forestry conference room in John Day. Grant County residents are encouraged to attend and provide feedback. Current services include emergency rental and utility assistance, eviction prevention, foreclosure prevention, homeless programs, self-sufficiency programs, food pantries and weatherization.
