Hood River County Forestry Department will have a timber sale auction in John Day, Oregon on October 2, 2003. The following timber sales will be available for purchase:

Park Creek T.S.- Section 35, 36-T7S-R32E, & 01-T8S-R32E, & 06-T8S-R33E, W.M., Grant County Oregon.

The minimum acceptable bid per thousand board feet is:

Douglas Fir & Western Larch 30 MBF $120.50/MBF

Ponderosa Pine 68 MBF$2.00/MBF

White Fir & Others32 MBF$50.00/MBF

*Merchantable Hardwoods & Sub-merchantable$5.00/MBF or $1.00/TON

The required bid guarantee is one thousand dollars ($1,000.00).

Kelsay Creek T.S. Sections 25, 35, 36-T7S-R32E, W. M., Grant County Oregon.

The minimum acceptable bid per thousand board feet is:

Douglas Fir and Western Larch165 MBF$172.50/MBF

White Fir & Others 235 MBF$88.00/MBF

*Merchantable Hardwoods & Sub-merchantable$5.00/MBF or $1.00/TON

The required bid guarantee is five thousand dollars ($5,000.00).

Sealed bids will be received by the County Forest Manager or his representative at the Oregon Department of Forestry Office, 400 NW 9th, John Day, Oregon, up to and no later than 10:00 a.m. local time on Thursday, the 2nd day of October, 2003, followed immediately by oral bidding. Oral bidders will be restricted to those who have submitted a sealed bid, in proper form, prior to 10:00 a.m. local time on October 2, 2003. Following consideration of offers, it is proposed to the Hood River County Board of Commissioners, at their next regular meeting, to award each timber sale to the successful bidder. The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
