Grant County Regional Airport
The Grant County Regional Airport has a need for annual fire extinguisher inspection and repair services. The Grant County Regional Airport wishes to secure these services through a five-year contract with a set fee, paid annually. In addition to the annual inspection and servicing, costs must be included to provide services required due to accidental damages, additional extinguishers, or for replacement of units that do not pass inspection.
A. The service provider shall assume responsibility for performance and scheduling of the annual fire extinguisher inspections. Provider must be adequately licensed, bonded and insured to perform all of the inspection, testing and servicing as necessary. Copies of all such licenses must be included with the proposal.
B. Provider must use National Fire Prevention Association NFPA 10-1998 (or most current edition) as a guideline.
The Grant County Regional Airport Commission shall determine the adequacy of any equivalent procedures proposed to meet requirements.
Proposals including services beyond those requested in this proposal will be considered.
The Grant County Regional Airport Commission highly recommends an onsite inspection to determine the number and location of all fire extinguishers. Providers may contact the Airport Manager at 1 (541) 575-1151 to arrange for an onsite inspection and additional requirements.
Proposals shall be delivered to the Grant County Regional Airport office by 4 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2003 and will be opened at the Grant County Regional Airport Commission meeting beginning at 3 p.m. on Monday, May 12, 2002. A bid will be chosen for recommendation to the Grant County Court at this meeting. A contract based on this proposal will be prepared for presentation to the Grant County Court, which may approve/disapprove or amend the proposed contract.
Please mail or deliver proposals to: Grant County Regional Airport, 720 Airport Road, John Day, OR 97845.
