Oregon State women's basketball head coach Scott Rueck was named the Pac-12 Coach of the Year Wednesday as voted by the media who regularly cover the Pac-12 conference.

It's the second time in Rueck's four-year tenure as OSU's head coach that he's been given the honor.

Rueck orchestrated a 21-9 season, going 13-5 in Pac-12 play, and has seen his team win its last nine games. The Beavers tied for second place in the conference and earned a first-round bye in the Pac-12 Tournament.

OSU is currently ranked 28th in the AP poll. An Oregon State women's basketball team hasn't been ranked in the top 25 since the 1995-96 season.

Rueck and the Beavers are back in action Friday for the second round of the Pac-12 Tournament.
