PRAIRIE CITY - Prairie City High School presented 35 scholarships and awards to 10 graduates at this year's graduation ceremony. Scholarship recipients were:

Brittany Reid: Elk's most valuable student, $250; Elk's student of the month, March; Blue Mountain Hospital District scholarship, $1,000; Elk's student of the year, $100; Rosa Ricco Buttedahl scholarship, $1,150; Kathleen Holpuch Memorial scholarship, $500; and Elk's annual scholarship-first place, $2,000.

Cherise Ricco: OSU diversity achievement scholarship, $1,800; William Randolph Hearst Foundation's 2004 U.S. Senate Youth scholarship program-alternate; Elk's student of the month, November; Rosa Ricco Buttedahl scholarship, $1,150; U.S. Army Scholar Athlete award; and Grant County Farm Bureau, $750.

Amanda Rockhill: Elk's student of the month, February and Rosa Ricco Buttedahl scholarship, $250.

Amy Collman: Elk's student of the month, January.

Eve Denton: Rosa Ricco Buttedahl scholarship, $1,000; Bank of Eastern Oregon scholarship, $500; and CO-GEN Co. scholarship, $500.

Ashley Curt: University scholar award, Eastern Oregon University, $1,500; Blue Mountain Hospital District scholarship, $1,000; Rosa Ricco Buttedahl scholarship, $1,000; Cecil and Kathleen Jackson Memorial scholarship, $250; American Legion Award; Paul and Clara Beth Doe scholarship; Prairie City Resources scholarship, $500; William R. Young Memorial scholarship; and Grant County Farm Bureau, $500.

Alex Estrada: Oregon State Employees Association (OSEA) Chapter 173, Prairie City School District Classified Employees scholarship.

Michael Thompson: American Legion award.

Jeremiah Wheeler: OSEA Chapter 173, Prairie City School District Classified Employees scholarship; Phil Ryan Memorial award, $100; and U.S. Army Scholar Athlete award.

Tom Hendriksen: Elk's vocational grant, $1,000 and Prairie City resources scholarship, $500.
