BOISE, Idaho – Sherry Pryor, 63, formerly of John Day, died Dec. 21, 2010, after battling cancer. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 17, at the Courtyard Marriott in Meridian, Idaho.

Mrs. Pryor was born Oct. 2, 1947, in Moorpark, Calif., to Celestine and Charles London. In 1967 she graduated from Los Banos High School.

She moved with her family to the John Day area in 1980, where she was part owner of Little Canyon House. Later she worked for Canyon Creek Guest Home until she moved to Boise in 1995 to be closer to her sons.

In Boise, she worked for several nursing homes, most recently, Willow Park Assisted Living. She worked hard and received her certified nursing assistant certificate.

In 2002, she became a grandma, which was her favorite job of all. She adored her “babies” and will be missed by them, but left behind many wonderful memories of making and decorating cookies.

Survivors include her sons, Aaron Pryor of Nampa, Idaho, and Chris Pryor of Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Amber and Bryce; and brother Charles London of Salem.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Celestine; her father, Charles; and brother, Dennis London.
