JOHN DAY - Two John Day churches have scheduled Vacation Bible Schools this month.

? Seventh-day Adventist Church will hold a Vacation Bible School 9 a.m.- noon Monday-Friday, June 22-26.

The theme for the school will be "Camp E.D.G.E.," (Experience + Discover God Everywhere). Children ages 4 and older are welcome.

Featured during the program will be a hyperactive puppet named "Sparx" as part of the opening exercises and a youth team from Gem State Academy in Caldwell, Idaho, to lead out the opening and closing activities as well as the Bible lesson.

Refreshments will be served and preregistration is not required. The church is located at 110 Valley View Drive. Call 541-575-1431 for more information.

? Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, in conjunction with Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Eugene, will have a Vacation Bible School 9-11:30 a.m. Tuesday-Friday, June 23-26.

The theme is "Power Lab." Activities will include crafts, wacky snacks, a mind-blowing Bible adventure, hyperspeed games and music.

Youth who have finished kindergarten through grade 6 are welcome. Transportation may be provided in some cases. Preregistration will be held at Riverside Mobile Home Park at 6 p.m. Sunday, June 21, or call Kathy at 541-575-2888.
