JOHN DAY - Jessie Lewis, director of the Friends of the Smoky Gibson Memorial Skateboard Park, announced the group will be selling flower bulbs to help raise funds for the park's construction.

The group will sell the bulbs through September, with delivery in October.

Lewis will be making "a lot of house calls" in an effort to sell the bulbs.

Half the proceeds from the sale will go to the park's construction.

The group will be selling hamburgers, hot dogs and cold drinks at the upcoming model train festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the fairgrounds.

For more information, call Lewis 575-1047.
