CANYON CITY – The state will retry a menacing and firearms case that ended in a hung jury earlier this month.

Grafton Lee Pauls faces charges of pointing a firearm at another, menacing, and recklessly endangering others stemming from a confrontation in a neighbor dispute.

Assistant District Attorney Jeremy Dietrich last week gave notice that the state would retry the case.

The new trial is set for March 5-6 in Grant County Circuit Court.
