Strawberry Riders compete at state fair

JOHN DAY - Three Strawberry Riders 4-H Horse Club members recently competed in the Oregon State Fair 4-H Horse Show.

The riders qualified for the competition during the Grant County Fair 4-H Horse Show on Aug. 1-2.

Along with their leader and trainer, Linda Brown, the young horsewomen traveled to Salem Aug. 15-17.

Senior member Kelsey Josi received second-place ribbons in showmanship and Western equitation.

Intermediate members Julie Bowling and Alicia Thomas each received second-place ribbons in showmanship and English equitation.
