Arlington def. Monument-Dayville 38-6

ARLINGTON - Mani Martin scored the first touchdown of the game on a 59-yard run for the Monument-Dayville High School football team on Friday, Sept. 5, but after that the power and speed of Arlington took over as the Honkers beat the Tigers 38-6 in a non-league contest.

Coach Brad Drake said the Tigers suffered some injuries and the game was called at halftime.

"We looked pretty good to start the game and scored early, but after that they beat us up," Drake said.

Arlington High School's Jeremy Rosenbalm scored four touchdowns for the Honkers and gained a total of 131 yards rushing.

Martin led the Tigers with 81 yards on eight carries.

Monument-Dayville is scheduled host Wasco County in a game scheduled for Friday, Sept. 12 at 1 p.m., but Drake said the team may have some eligibility problems in addition to injuries so right now the game is in question.
