MONUMENT - Despite a good start in last Friday's game against Crane, coach Russ Powell said his Tigers just made too many mistakes and that hurt the final score.

After the first quarter, the Dayville/Monument team was down 0-14, but the gap spread wider, to 0-54, by the end of the first half.

The final score was 6-68.

Powell said, "The Mustangs are a good, disciplined team and are very organized."

He added that now the Tigers know what is needed to become playoff contenders.

He said, "It was a good loss and we'll work on what is necessary to better the team as a whole."

The Tigers next play Adrian, away, at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7.

Powell said, "All I can say is that the Antelopes had better be ready."
